BALDUR'S GATE - WEST

Tymora's Luck

There's actually only one quest that originates in the west section of the city. I head a bit west and south. Varci Roarinhorn implores me to see his master, and I oblige. I then speak with Tremain Belde'ar. The quest becomes one of retrieving the body of Casson, Varci's brother, from the Temple of Umberlee.

I then head over to the Temple in the south section of the city, pay the 50gp fee to speak with Jalantha Mystmyr, and then pay her the 2,000gp for Casson's dead body.

I then bring the body back, and speak with Tremain twice so that he revives Casson. Once that is finished I speak with Varci to get 5,000xp, 2,000gp, and a Large Shield +1 - +4 vs. missile weapons. This shield will be used by Yeslick for the rest of the game. It's consistent with his role of moving on ahead and absorbing early missile fire from enemy archers, and it also protects him from archers when he needs to cast spells.

Now I head to the north section of the city.
