GIBBERLING MOUNTAINS
Flaming Fist on the Prowl
I travel to the mountains at the southeast corner of the world map. I then head south, and run into a Flaming Fist Mercenary. He's on the lookout for somebody named Samuel. You could comply with this request, but it's not very rewarding. A good way to get rid of him is to tell him that you're mercenaries from Amn.
I continue south and east, along the bottom of a mountain arm. I click on -tab- to reveal a hidden container that has an Iol Gem, a Star Sapphire, and a Ring of Fire Resistance, which Imoen (being a back rank character) now wears. I then head back to where I came from.
Hafiz
Now I continue north, and run into a Dwarf named Hafiz. Choosing the nice and sharing dialogue options suffices for me to get a Scroll of Protection from Magic from him.
The video concludes with me continuing eastwards, and killing off a group of Gibberlings.
Samuel the Deserter
I begin exploring the northern portion of the area. There will be a LOT of Gibberlings here, but they'll be easier for a higher level party. Sleep may be necessary for a low-level party.
Towards the center of the area is a woman named Lena, and an apparently ill man named Samuel. I agree to help Samuel.
I begin by travelling to the Friendly Arm Inn, battling Ghasts along the way. Once there, I bring him to Gelanna Mirrorshade for an xp reward, a couple of potions, and +1 to reputation.
The next stop is Mutamin's Garden.
