QUESTS IN CHAPTER 2
This list shows all quests that can be completed in Chapter 2. However, you can wait until Chapter 3 or Chapter 6 before you complete them.
There are four types of quests in this chapter.
Class Quests are the major quests you have to complete to gain your stronghold. All characters can complete all class quests; however only the quest(s) corresponding to your own class(es) will give you a stronghold. For example, all characters can complete the Unseeing Eye quest but only Clerics will gain a stronghold at a temple.
Stronghold Quests are the quests you need to perform once you have gained your stronghold in order to keep it. For example, a Fighter who gets the De'Arnise Keep as a stronghold will need to return to the keep every so often to handle the keep's affairs.
NPC Specific Quests are quests which you will only gain if you have specific NPCs in your party. For example, Nalia won't be abducted if she is not in your party. ;-)
Other Quests are all the quests that you can gain and complete irrespective of your class and party composition, for example the Circus quests.
Fighter/Barbarian/Monk: The De'Arnise Keep has been Invaded.
Cleric: Investigate the Cult of the Unseeing Eye.
Mage/Sorcerer: Find Valygar for the Cowled Wizards / The Planar Sphere.
Ranger: Investigate the Deaths in the Umar Hills.
Paladin: Journey to the Windspear Hills.
Druid: Animal Attacks in Trademeet.
Thief: Find Evidence against Mae'Var.
Bard: Free Haer'Dalis / The Planar Prison.
Once you have gained a stronghold, you must work to keep it!
Fighter/Barbarian/Monk: Running the De'Arnise Keep.
Cleric: Serving the Temple - NOTE: These quests are different depending on your alignment.
Mage/Sorcerer: Train the Young Apprentices.
Ranger: Help the Village of Imnesvale.
Paladin: Serve the Order of the Most Radiant Heart.
Druid: Serve the Druid Grove.
Thief: Run a Thief Guild.
Bard: Set up the "Turmish Play" at the Theater.
These quests happen only if you have the relevant NPC in your party.
Anomen is Summoned Home.
Cernd is a Father!
Edwin and the Nether Scroll.
Jaheira Gets Cursed.
Jan Jansen Returns Home.
Keldorn Returns Home.
Korgan and the Book of Kaza.
Mazzy's Sister is Poisoned.
Mazzy and Gorf the Squisher.
Nalia Gets Abducted.
These quests are the same no matter who is in your party or what class you are playing.
Collect the Fee for Gaelan Bayle.
Meet Valen's Mistress.
Help Irenicus' Captive Dryads.
The Circus Quest.
Free the Slaves in the Copper Coronet.
Free the Rest of the Slaves in the Slums.
The Talking Sword in the Sewers.
The Murders in the Bridge District.
The Human Flesh Armor.
Find the Men who Buried Tirdir.
Find Wellyn's Teddy Bear.
Find a Caretaker for the Orphan Girl Risa (Adoption in the Graveyard District).
Help Kangaxx Restore his Body.
The Fallen Paladins.
The Stolen Ring of Lathander.
The Harper Hold Quests.
The Djinni in Trademeet.
The Feuding Families in Trademeet.
The Skin Dancer in Trademeet.
Find some Mimic Blood for Jermien.
