Unlocking cheats

Enter the Baldur's Gate II directory and find the baldur.ini file. (Should be in the main Black Isle folder.)
Double click on it, and the .ini file will open in Notepad. Scroll down in the file until you reach the heading Program Options, and underneath, you should find a list of commands with numbers following (i.e., BitsPerPixel=16, Acceleration=0, etc.). Begin a new line anywhere under the Program Options heading, and write the command line: Debug Mode=1. (If this doesn't work in your game, write Cheats=1 under [Game Options] instead.)

This will tell the game to accept cheats and you will be able to enter the console. Save this file and exit.
Now start the game and open the console prompt by pressing Ctrl and the space bar. Console cheats must be entered exactly as they are written below.

Free XP

Select any number of your characters, then type CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("X") into the console and press Enter, where X is the number of experience you wish to be distributed amongst said characters. Note that the experience cap in BGII is 2.95 million, and this cheat will not allow you to exceed that number.
Don't use commas in the XP amount.

NOTE: You can give XP to a single or all party members. Click once on the character you wish to give XP to and then enter the XP cheat while their portrait is highlighted. To give all party members XP click the little square box in the lower right of you display and you will see all your characters' portraits highlighted. Open the console and enter the code.

Free $$$

From the console, enter CLUAConsole:AddGold("X") and press Enter, where X is the amount of gold you wish the party to have. Don't use commas here either.

Show current map

To show the entire area map, enter CLUAConsole:ExploreArea() into the console and press Enter. (Nothing needs to go in between the parentheses).

Move to area

CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("area reference number goes here")
This will warp you to any area in the game. Be careful to have all your party members selected first. Here are a few sample places. You can get the area number of any area by hitting the X key.

Max stats

Use the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() code to activate the cheat function:

Press CTRL+SHIFT+8 and it will max your stats. If you decrease some stats before doing this you can take some up to 19 for races that allow 19 (elves and DEX for example).

Heal and jump

Use the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() code to activate the cheat function:

When you have Debug Mode=1 in your baldur.ini file, you may use [CTRL] + R to heal a character, and [CTRL] + J to jump to the location of the mouse cursor.

Advance Time

Use the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() code to activate the cheat function:

When you have Debug Mode=1 in your baldur.ini file, you may use [CTRL] + T to advance game time by 1 hour.

Instant kill

Use the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() code to activate the cheat function:

When you have Debug Mode=1 in your baldur.ini file, you may use [CTRL] + Y to kill the person or monster the cursor is placed over.

Other cheats

Use the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() code to activate the cheat function:

When you have Debug Mode=1 in your baldur.ini file, you may use [CTRL] + 1 to change armor class of selected character. [CTRL] + 6 and [CTRL] + 7 to change the model of the selected char (previous and next, respectively).

See romance progression

If you have enabled cheats you can use CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("Lovetalk","LOCALS") while your mouse pointer is held over the appropriate character's portrait to check how far your romance has progressed.

Create items

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("item code here",quantity here) then press Enter. No commas in the quantity #.

Here is an example using the Identify scroll code.

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("scrl75",100)

This will place 100 Identify scrolls in your protagonist's pack. Note that any magical items you create need to be identified before you get the benefits of using them.
