CARIDIN'S CROSSING

Name's Oghren

Now Prince Bhelen assigns me the task of tracking down the Paragon, Branka.  Oghren tries to impose himself on my company, but I don't oblige, at least not yet.

Caridin's Cross

A number of familiar combat themes are present in this battle, plus a new one.  In Caridin's Cross, there are a lot of Darkspawn, but they are often spread apart over fairly wide open spaces.  This is where Leliana truly shines as an Archer with her Aim sustained ability.  She can either tease forward a few of the Darkspawn away from the rest of the force in a process of attrition, or nail one at a time sniper-style.

In particular, note the Hurlock Alpha at 7:05.  This could be a tough fight if you tried walking up to him on the bridge.  The reason is that the bridge is loaded with traps, and you'll then have Darkspawn swarming you from both sides while the Alpha swings away with his two-handed Waraxe.  This way, Leliana draws him onwards and dooms him to a lonely death.  Afterwards, when the wave behind me appears, Wynne can simply nail the group with Fireball and the party can run back down the bridge without having to worry about getting flanked.  The group on the other side of the bridge can then also be taken care of without rushing past the traps.  Once they're gone, the traps are then disarmed at leisure.

At 17:06, I find Topsider's Hilt, which is part of a quest involving a sword.

At about 27:00 is another fight with a Revenant.  The formula is the same.  Use single-target spells or abilities on it (Cone of Cold, Petrify, Glyph of Paralysis, Misdirection Hex, etc.) to either immobilize it or reduce its ability to strike, pound away, and using both healing spells and Health Poultices when necessary.

At 32:08 is where I find the Torso in a Bag, as part of the Asunder quest.

The last part of the video is me finding the Drifter's Cache.  To find it, you need to find all the piles of rubble and such that will yield Codex Entries for 'Crosscut Drifters' and 'Drifter's Cache'.  If you're unsure where to find them, reference this page of the official Sorcerer's Place walkthrough for Dragon Age.
