OGHREN'S QUEST

Emissary Fellhammer

Now that the effort to get Orzammar to join the war effort has concluded, Emissary Fellhammer will appear next to the supply crates in the Camp. This means that I can give him Sapphires, Malachites, Amethysts, or Topazes for 10xp each.

Oghren's Old Flame

I speak to Oghren in Camp, and he brings up that he wants to look up an old flame of his. Blowing it off will lose approval with him, while agreeing to do it will raise approval with him. There are also a few more opportunities to engage in conversation with him and raise (or lose) approval.

One Ring

I make my way to Lake Calenhad. I get a very rare random encounter on the way there, the One Ring, which is a tip of the hat to Tolkien's literary works. There will be a couple of dead travelers around a campfire ring. I have to fight several Shades, including a Greater Shade. This can be a difficult fight, since the fight can involve getting hit with multiple Slams or multiple Flame Blasts and so on. It got so intense, in fact, that I ended up convinced that Wynne had to activate Cleansing Aura to keep the party members in it. I do eventually manage to outlast them. One of the dead travelers leaves behind some random items, and a note that makes a reference to "should have taken the flying eagles".

Felsi

Now I'm at Lake Calenhad. I enter the Spoiled Princess, and Oghren wants to put the moves on Felsi. I speak with Felsi myself first to get a little info. I then let Oghren go to it. I can either sabotage the effort by insulting Oghren (which will lose approval with him), or help him by picking the options that help him out. I chose the latter and the two reconcile, sort of.

Now it is time to go to Denerim.
