Sometimes you may come across 'landmarks' in your travels. Only the Hound can benefit from these, and only when you use the Hound to click on the landmarks. The result is 'Mabari Dominance', whereby the Hound asserts his claim to the territory and gains a bonus to attack and defense while in that area. The landmarks are located as follows:

The tree in Lothering at #18.
Zathrian's tent in the Dalish Camp at #2.
A tree in the Grand Oak Clearing at #12 in the West Brecilian Forest.
The Mad Hermit's tent in the East Brecilian Forest at #8.
A boat at the Lake Calenhad Docks at around #3.
A tree near the mill in Redcliffe Village at #10.
A tree near in the courtyard of Redcliffe Castle.
