I am
the founder, owner and webmaster of Sorcerer's Place. I oversee, prepare,
arrange and publicize all of the gaming content here, and generally keep
all of the site's sections in shape, so if you have any problems with any part of Sorcerer's Place, address them to me. Furthermore, I administer our network's servers, Boards
o' Magick (our message boards) and our IRC chatrooms. I also post
quite a bit of news (site and otherwise).
I was
born in 1982 and am currently pursuing a degree in Media Production at our capital
city of Ljubljana in Slovenia,
which is a beautiful country in the south of central Europe. Role-playing games have been a passion of mine for a number of years
now, and when I was younger I played just about every CRPG I could
get my hands on; ranging from the earliest Gold-Box hits to the Ultimas
and beyond. Besides role-playing games, I've thoroughly enjoyed dozens of Lucas Arts and Sierra's adventure game titles, practically all of Blizzard's games (staying away from WoW for the time being, though!) and scores of other games, from first-person shooters to puzzle games. Until PCs took over more or less completely, I actually played games on my dad's Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ and a Commodore 64 and NES over at my cousin's house. Thinking how far computer games have come since the nineties (and how much of the genuine fun is missing from most of today's titles) makes me feel more than a little old.
Despite the advent of 3D, CRPGs made with the Infinity
Engine are still my favourites. After all, the original Baldur's Gate is the
brilliant game that has inspired me to create Sorcerer's Place, but you can read more about that in the SP FAQ.
To
conclude this short bio I would like to express my gratitude to
all of the people who like my work here, and the site as a whole. My
cordial thanks also go to all who have supported SP in one way or
another over the years. SP would never have made it this far without
the help and dedication of many other people besides myself.
