About Tiamat

I'm Tiamat, I'm 14, and that makes me SP's youngest staff member. I'm ridiculously proud of it, but I also hope that'll make everyone forgive me whenever I mess up, I guess ;). I actually am a latecomer to both the gaming scene and to SP; I started using the site in June 2001 and actually registered and became active in the community in very early July. Still, SP is like an addiction.

Whenever I like something this much, I like being a part of it and contributing; one very late night (in my time zone, anyway) at the end of October, Darien was complaining about her workload and I offered to do the NWN Forum updates. Didn't know what I was getting into, of course, since this is normally a daily job (every other day now that Azirath is helping me, thank god) but I still do enjoy "giving something back to the people", so to speak.

I actually began gaming no more than two years ago, when I got my first ever Playstation (never mind how new it actually was -- or wasn't -- even back then) and I got hooked on the Final Fantasy series. Of course, I wasn't a very talented gamer at first so I didn't try any games other than Final Fantasy-style, with a walkthrough no less. Mid-last year, I began getting curious, and once school ended last year, I amassed my cash and actually bought Baldur's Gate 2. You have NO idea how badly I sucked at first, but I did improve and now I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty good at it.

In "Real Life", I am, as I said, 14, which makes me a freshman in High School. I live in Greece (that little dot in south-eastern Europe =P), although I'd much rather live somewhere bigger. I'm getting my hands on a college opportunity somewhere else, preferably in the US or Britain, I hope, to study Genetics. Until then, I can always post news for SP :D. I've got plenty of time to get good at it. It doesn't have much prestige to it, but it IS something I like doing.

Why you'd want to ask questions of a news poster is beyond me, but I'll answer if I can; you'll find me on SP's chat or by e-mailing me.
