It mustve
been about August 2001 when I started making visits to Sorcerers
Place. Id recently bought Planescape: Torment and was instantly
captivated by the fantasy world it was set in. I still remember that wonderful
day when I typed Planescape: Torment websites into Yahoo and
my soon-to-be addiction came up. For the next 5 months I made constant
visits to the Games and News section, always something new and interesting
having been added. The chatroom has always been a favourite of mine. Then,
in early January, I decided to register on the boards. I can tell you
that I had never felt such a warm and thriving online community. It really
meant a lot to me to be able to just sit and post about what I loved and
not have people judge me over my knowledge of AD&D.
As for me,
Im in my mid-teens and live in Horley, which is small town in the
southeast of Great Britain, just a few miles out of London. I enjoy my
home life a lot, but I do sometimes find school very depressing. I have
two wonderful sisters who also like visiting SP for BG2 info and to laugh
at some of the comedy stories in the Creativity Surge forum on the Sorcerers
Place Boards O Magick. I have had a passion for gaming ever since
I was given a mega-drive when I was younger. I am now the Neverwinter
Nights forum news poster for SP and enjoy doing it very much.
My love of
AD&D CRPGs has always cheered me up as has Sorcerers. As I write this
short biography of mine I am literally squirming with anticipation for
Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale 2. I have also been a great follower
of the Might & Magic and Final Fantasy games. I have made a few not-too-good
3D games using DarkBasic, which is also another interest of mine. I love
the feeling you get when your game finally starts running after all the
hours of programming youve done to get it up and running.
I very much
look forward to many a happy year of news posting on Sorcerers Place.
