Dragon Age 2, deffinatly. Never been a fan of Diablo, even though I own both previous games. Diablo does have a cool setting though, I will admit that much.

Anticipating both equally. 10 years ago (wow!!!) I bought Diablo 2 and BG:2 on the same day. I remember it clearly, as it was a big day for me - the first time I spent $100 on video games. :)

If you forced me to pick, though, I'd say I'm looking forward to Diablo 3 a bit more. Been waiting a lot longer for that one.

I'm with Death Rabbit on this one; I'm anticipating both a lot. D3 slightly more, simply because it's been so long in the making and DA:O wasn't released that long ago.

That, and the brass balls on Blizzard for STILL charging $20 for D2... a 10-year-old game. :heh: D3 better be good, man. :)

Haha! In their defense, they're still managing Diablo II, released a patch, updating ladders and what not.

I think part of why I look forward to D3 is that I've got a few friends who are going to get lost with me for hours upon hours slaying monsters. ~.^ With one friend I'm going to make a Barbarian named Furyk and he's going to make a Witch Doctor named Ajimbura. (Wheel of Time reference!)

Always fun to have that 'single player' experience with another person. Co-op before the invention of the "massive."

I voted D3. I know it's going to be good. The gods have willed it to be so.

Yep, I was still at Circuit when it arrived from the warehouse. I unpacked it myself. ;)

Neither as I've just started playing (and modding) Fallout New Vegas.

Diablo 3 will probably be a lot of fun but I'm in no hurry and my expectations for DA2 are pretty low with all that Hawke/day one Preorder DLC NPC/no non human PC nonsense.

I will get both, but D3 I will probably have to buy two copies of (one for teen snook).

I have no interest in the Diablo games so the choice is between DA2 and neither, which DA2 barely wins.

For me (unsurprisingly as I still play D2) it's D3, and it's not even close. Is there a release date for either of these games? D3 is the game that will cause me to upgrade or outright purchase a new PC - a move that will allow me to play Civ V to boot.

    Clearly D3.
I've lost hope in Bioware and for a long time I didn't want to admit it to myself.

    Not interested in either game.

D2 was kind of fun for a while, but quickly became a grindfest for better gear, and I'm pretty sure Blizzard won't change that aspect of the game since that is what kept most players playing the game anyway.

DA:O was also nice for a while, but the combat was dull and repetitive. I've no idea if this aspect of the game will be changed, but from what I hear Bioware is turning DA2 into ME2: Medieval Edition. Which might not be so bad in and of itself, but if I want to play a game like that, I'd rather wait for The Witcher 2 instead.

Basically, I agree with hannibal555's assessment of Bioware. Except for the not wanting to admit it to myself. Actually, I guess the sentiment could be extended to Blizzard as well.

I'm generally not in the habit of anticipating any game as I prefer to wait and see what the user response will be to a game. Less chance of disappointment that way, plus I get to buy the games for a lower price.

This sentiment surprises me. Bioware is about the only developer I have consistent, unblemished faith in. I have yet to play a game of theirs that I would rate below an 8 or a 9 out of 10. They're one of the best in the business for a reason.

Seeing that the companions in Dragon Age 2 just got the Mass Effect 2 inventory treatment, I most likely wont be playing Dragon Age 2 at all. It was just confirmed on a podcast. Your companions gets outfits suited to their personality. You can still equip weapons on them, but mostly just weapons their personality would allow. Their outfits can be upgraded with runes and such as well. And you can also find different stuff for their looks. Take Isabella for example. She wears a piraty outfit. A white shirt, a scarf, boots, and no pants. Where the heck will we stuff the runes? In her bra?

And can we enchant her scarf maybe? To make it so that she magic scarf does +8 damage vs darkspawn. And aparantly tailors in the game have been tossing out equipment around the world, that only she can use. Since it matches her outfit.

    Its getting seriously lame.

Bioware made a terrific game with DAO but they're changing everything with DA2. I for one don't necessarily mind change that much but going the ME route with the DA franchise is a very dubious choice IMO.

Besides I don't like the whole DLC stuff. I've spent more money on DAO than on any other game I've bought in years and I must say that many DLCs are just rubbish. If I were to compare DAO DLCs to Fallout 3 DLCs I'd have to say that the Fallout 3 DLCs have more replayability despite some flaws.

Awakening was great but buggy as hell and I'm really annoyed by the fact that Bioware is all over us trying to make us preorder DA2 when there are so many bugs that need fixing in DAO. It's sad that it's up to modders to fix games nowadays (don't get me wrong the same thing can be said of Fallout New Vegas as there are some major performance issues that only an unofficial fix allows to bypass).

Belive me, when DA2 comes out, you will get ALOT more DLC`s. Mostly involving new outfits for companions.

Which is precisely why I won't be buying it. I'm sick of paying through the nose to play a game I already bought. I thought DA:O sucked balls.

D3 is a big one for me, but I'm still hurting about Blizzard unleashing WoW on us. If I've forgiven them in time, I'll definately play D3, the second one was AWESOME.

I've been waiting for D3 for 8+ years so yeah my anticipation for that is much bigger than my anticipation for DA2. When DA2 was announced i thought "well i'm gonna be bored so i might as well get it when it comes out" but when D3 was announced i thought "omg finally!!! Thank you Jesus/God/Buddha/Zeus/Odin/Ra!!". So that should pretty much sum up the difference in anticipation. I'm probably going to get a new graphics card for D3 as well, on the other hand i don't really care how well DA2 is going to run on my computer.
