so far, its been sometime though, ive found only 1 real good axe i liked in ToB, not really sure of SoA, its been a while. the vorpral axe in ToB, or maybe it was in watchers keep. other than that theres more long swords, with a speed of -0-, or 1.

By vorpal axe i guess you mean the axe of the unyielding - the upgraded version has a speed factor of 2, pretty much the fastest melee range axe you can find, and has some great bunuses with it's HP regen, +1 CON and 10% chance of decapitation. The only one faster is the Rifthome Axe +3 (a returning throwing axe) which has a speed factor of 1, but no other additional bonuses. Also, you'd have to side with bodhi to even be able to obtain it.

yea but with azureedge, it looked like i had 1 attack, missile, and hard to get in close, cause i had, at that time, 3 attacks, with 2 weapons. its missile (ranged) attacks per round isnt actually listed, and it seemed it was a 1.
that is after freeing slaves at copper cornet.

so i loaded newer version, had problems finding baldur.ini, found it and it wont save the
Debug Mode=1 addition, oh, i downloaded the patch, for ToB, if i can get the debug mode i can start a new game in honest.
i go to save it and the pop-up says access denied

soo now i need the long version; cause i had deleted the original baulders.ini, before, now on the reinstall the .ini folder has no .ini after it and wont save, yes the direct baldur.ini folder i do believe i deleted it, and on the reinstall its not marked as a .ini folder, and i cannt save the cheat mode on it.
checked properties doesnt seem to be it. read-only isnt checked.

The best place to get throwing daggers in BG1 is outside the High Hedge.
There are skeletons that give you throwing daggers for free if you kill them quickly enough. They also respawn if you go inside and then come back out or otherwise leave the map and return.

There are several other places with those skeletons, but I can't recall off-hand. However, I've gotten tons of throwing daggers farming skeletons. Late in the game, the good and neutral clerics can curbstomp those skeletons with their Turn Undead powers, though Viconia is more annoying since she merely controls them.

somewhere; i bet i can find it; i have an old apple version of pool of radiance; the same, i bet i can find it, the old pool of radiance that ran for win95, and ran too quick for the eye to keep up with. @1mhz on that old apple, it took a while to get thru that map.

so i got a fresh set, the full 4 disk set, dvd, for win vista&xp i guess. unfortunately i didnt buy the enhanced version. on my lap top i installed SoA&ToB, went to the library to get online(down there), downloaded your suggestions, some of that adds a good bit to gameplay. only 1 prob on that laptop, as with this i seem to have a problem entering debug code thingie. and i cannt get the clua console to come up. getting the debug line saved was a chore then as i was able to figure a way to save (baulder.ini) debug didnt take. having fun with a new game, ive gotten somewhat far in, one of the things i 'hate' about that game is the time you spend in the Whole underdark. its like i cannt store any items at a place, for 'safekeeping', there are opportunities to sell some items, but my sacks will be over flowing. rolled up a pretty good as it turns out this time, a female haha, gnome, so she can be a ftr/th, i like the different ftr/th choices, halflings excel at th, and except for str limit(can anyone say girdle of giant str?) are very good at both. 1/2orc is interesting ok th, not as good as either gnome or 1/2ling at th, more of a 'rough' thief. but the str bonus of a 19 makes them a very good ftr. 1/2orc ftr/th with 19str 2 weapon proficiencies, 3 two weapon proficiencies, wow some of that good leather/studded leather. the gnome, is a real good go between for both classes, good thief, and good ftr, str bonus of 18/xx puts a gnome as about average of any other fighter. my girl is pushing 18/90 something, found a good roll for her. str 18/90-5, int 12-13, wis15-16,dex18,con16or17,cha22,23 with all the cha goodies i love to load up on,
this other computer sometime soon i have to get it into me to reset/reboot windows, having some issues with that, after i do, i ll download both SoA+ToB, and download goodies, i doubt i feel like starting a whole other game all over on a different computer, as even getting thru the 1st chapter, well ive done it a few times, and its getting old. going from having absolutely -0- items and starting over from scratch, vintage for most d&d series. 1 game might be enough.
i also got neverwinternights series, may think of starting a new one, but starting from 1bone stock level, well i did complete baldurs gate from start to finish 2x, that was a good few years ago tho, like '98 or about,,

I have the Apple II versions of it. The MS-DOS version of Pool of Radiance isn't that hard to find on "Abandonware" warez sites. I'm not sure of the legality of downloading it. I wasn't aware a Win95 version even existed, but some years ago now I was given a CD called "Forgotten Realms Silver Collection" that included it. It was too fast on my 1ghz system under WIN98SE and did not work when I tried to play it with XP. You need a program called SlowDown, which I think DOSBox makes easy to find.

Still, I'm not sure you posted this to the right thread, it has no relevance to the rest.

Wow, what a wall of text. Could you try to use paragraphs to space this out? How about proper capitalization and punctuation? It makes reading and parsing it so much easier. I can't figure out what you are trying to ask about here.

The only thing I got was that you had too much stuff to lug around in the Underdark. My comment there is to download the G3 Tweaks pack and install the bottomless bags of holding component, along with the ammo belts component. Make the ammo belts, potion containers, scroll cases, and bag of holding bottomless and you won't have as much of a problem. Although it will be annoying in the early game before you get the bag of holding, the other containers should help a great deal. The ammo belts are near essential IMHO to hold that special ammo.
Also install the increased item stacking for arrows, potions, and scrolls.
90% of the tweaks are useful, although I only consider about half of them vital to the point of not wanting to play without. A few I have NOT installed, such as the "identify all items" component.

Tried to fix it best i could in a few mins time :
Editing the baldur.ini file works a little different then with the EE, since the file is in a different location but shouldn't be too hard.

As far as the underdark goes - by this point you should have gotten the bag of holding from spellhold. Like SlickRCBD suggested, get the tweak to make it hold unlimited items and that problem is gone at least.

IMHO gnomes are better then half orcs, since gnomes get a +5 bonus to saving throws vs spells and wands, though if anything i like using them as fighter/illusionists (gnomes are the only race that can go fighter/mage with a specialization in bg/bg2, giving them an extra spell slot per level.)

That said, for a fighter/thief those stats are not bad. from a min-maxing point of view you could have left charisma at 3 and maxed all the other stats, since you can get the ring of human influence right after exiting chateau Irenicus, which sets your charisma to 18 - but even without that, you've got high scores in your most important attributes.
the 18/90 roll on str is nice to have too, at least up to the point where you increase your str to 19+ (either with the girdle of ogre strength, crom feys or with the stat increase from the machine of lum the mad for example.)

And starting up another game of baldur's gate on your desktop pc is totally up to you - though if you also have neverwinter nights you might want to play that instead first so you don't get sick of playing the same game so much. :p

The trick to editing Baldur.ini is one of two ways.
One, do NOT install to \Program Files (x86). Instead, create a folder in your root directory called "games" and install all games that are compatible with Windows 9X and/or released before Windows Vista (2007) to that folder instead. Make sure all authenticated users have permission to read that folder. For some games, you also need to make it so that authenticated users can write as well.

The other way to edit it under Pista or later is to find Notepad in the Start menu (under accessories), right-click on it and choose "run as administrator". Then use the "open" command from the file menu and navigate to the file that way instead of double-clicking on the file.
This goes for ALL .ini files in the \program files (x86) folder.

I'd pay the extra few dollars and buy the Enhanced Edition through steam. I say steam because it remembers what you own and is easy to re-install if you need to for any reason.
I did that and now I can't see playing without the Enhanced Edition.

That costs money, and I was giving advice for ALL games that use .ini files, not just one.
As for "remembers what you own", this is irrelevant with games that come on CDs or DVDs without copy protection.
You make backup copies of the media, and if/when you need to reinstall, just pop the CD/DVD into the drive.
This also worked just as well with floppies in the old days.
Even with copy protected games, you pop the originals into the drive and reinstall.
Don't download games, order physical media so you have those VITAL backups.
If you must download, for god's sake, back it up to external media so if your HD gets wiped or crashes, you can reinstall. Not doing so is stupid and I will never download a game that will not let me do this.

Maybe it is just because I'm old enough to remember buying games on 5.25" floppies for my Apple II at the mall, so the idea that I'll have to buy them again because I bought a new computer is foreign to me.

Wow SlickRCBD that's some OLD school there. I remember the gold box series. Much fun.
As for having a physical copy, do they have one for the EE? I guess I'm odd because I can no longer imagine playing without the EE. It adds a great bit of fun
I must have the tweaks pack as well so I can make a HALF-ORC Blackguard instead of just a human.

theres a way around this, needing a disk or cd/dvd, for downloaded software, keep link, and confirm of purchase, so at any time you can download the same and then add stuff like mods, add-ons, updates, etc.

still have a few rows of old apple floppies, i did ssi a lot, wargames, some good for the time, and some of the 1st d&d sets on disk(S). have also rows of like off-the-market game sets, it would have like different versions of pac man, or galaxians and all kind of different games like, or sub-sports, etc. not as many times did i go to the mall as i got some disks like that, and i did end up in the mall a good few times, as more games went on sale, yea quick pick up!, and of course i started to work, so i had a few extra $s to spend @de mall while i cut a class or two, heheh; those were the days.

hey guys, its been a few months, sometimes while im out of my internet range i still have a BG2 game going, normally i play my online tank game tho, but right now im right at the end of SoA, gonna go back to bodhi tomb, and have to reload it till i can win that battle, right now setting up last rest, getting all the dispell magics, remove magics, restoration, false dawn, etc, together. so sometime ago i finished game took mellisan pretty easy, have an angle going in, 1st i lower resistance, malison, then get her in as quick a hold monster i can, need to save up those hold monsters, as the second time i face her, again, i get her in another HM, 3rd and 4th time i face her i just unleash all my fighters on her, bypass the summonings. hardest was the 3rd well souls, bridge, and the 4th was even harder. anyways now i went back to an old save game in the asylum, and have taken my time finishing off as much of the realm(SoA) as i can find. have a question or 2, well two. first in the asylum theres the room, has chest with statues, have to match up, i think its 12 items in chest to statues, lost my cheat, thought i had it close, didnt complete it, gave up, whats the order for this, i totally forget what you unlock in chest. second Q? im looking for the rest of the body(parts) for kangaxx, i found him in docks, one house, and in the one house in bridge, right next to rune door/room where you get staff i love, only place i havent had a chance to search in the graveyard, as to head there i have to face bodhi and such. looked in temple, only thing looks like 2 places on temple map, sewers i failed to unlock, it seems quite early in game, and long before i picked up restart i saved, i went after unseeing eye, with out even getting into the cult quest, so the one door leading off cult main passage is inaccessible to me, then if you leave former unseeing eye cult, now empty, long ago that is, area, lower tunnels, iirc, and go back into main sewers, past that hide out where, iirc, you first rescue haer'dalis, go past that alcove, entrance, and theres another secret door inaccessible, i suppose cause i got nervous and let the eye, beholder have it, and didnt want to lose my eyes, well both those doors i cannt unlock, and probably took cult quests to unlock, other than that says door wont open, and simple spells are warded, oh well, come to think of it im missing out on a thing or two, items. anyways i also went to government district, and although i found no one there is even worth pick-pocketing, well and resets and such, not much else of interest there, back to original question? kangaxx body i still need arms & legs.,, oh searched promenade and slums best i could, nothing there.

    tl;dr

Might I suggest using some punctuation, paragraphs and capitalization, as it will make it much easier to read and also easier to respond (by quoting portions of your post in the response).
