And does Duncan even acknowledge that he is there?

I don't like my Pup to be followed around by a wetnurse (being called Pup is bad enough if you ask me -I should make a new Human Noble and just call him Pup :D).

On the subject of Ser Gilmore, there is a mod that looks very promising: Ser Gilmore NPC I can't imagine the amount of work that it must have taken to put something like this together. I haven't tested it yet because of the absence of voicing (which kinda breaks immersion if you ask me) but it's probably only a matter of time before it gets done.

One werid thing I noticed about Ser Gilmore compared to other NPCs; you cannot remove his equipment but you can with any other NPC. Maybe becuase he is there for such a short time frame and his armor is better than the PC.

That's probably what they had in mind. In the unmodded game, Pup is dressed like a peasant... Even a City Elf living in an Alienage has better clothing.

Furthermore, it may also be linked to the fact that Ser Gilmore probably don't have a good enough STR to be using these items in the first place. His armour looks too good considering his Strength. Although I seem to recall that this was the case with Gorim as well (having items that shouldn't have been equipped due to low stats).

In the unmodded game, Pup is dressed in armor - and depending on what class you choose, mother dear makes mention that you've been seen sweating like a pig attacking straw dummies (or something closely resembling that) so I honestly think that Pup has been summoned from weapons practice which is why he/she isn't dressed as a noble. In the mod, though, it's funny that the female pup's noble attire doesn't look that noble, honestly.

As far as the Ser Gilmore mod, I had it for a while and got rid of it. It's ok for those fangirls of him, but the lack of voice and the fact that it isn't compatible with some of the other major mods that change around some of the dialogues (i.e. don't think it's compatible with Dialogue Tweaks) makes it one that I wouldn't want to keep around.

Thanks for the feedback on the Ser Gilmore mod.

As far as Pup's clothing is concerned, the armour in the unmodded game doesn't suit the character who doesn't even have a change of clothes. That put me off the Human Noble origin right from the start (what can I say, I'm a fashion victim as far CRPGs are concerned).

I was able to unequip Gorim's equipment and in my game he had a 13 or 12 STR; just enough to use dwarf chainmail made from iron

I figured this one out. Sir Jory mentions not Tyrein Cousland but the lower ranking noble title which would explain why Sir Jory does not know the son or daughter of the Tyrein Cousland.

I agree with these points except your looking at staying at the castle all wrong with the potential that either his/her dad or older brother could die against the darkspawn so he/she could become the new teryn/Teryna. Also as shown in the game itself people like attacking castles so with two people in Highever who can lead the remaining forces to protect the citizens.

    Holy flapping necro, batman!
Last post before yours was back in 2010, Caradhras himself hasn't been online on the board since 2015 - might be a while before you get a reply. :)
