    From the original:
In light of the fact that a few members of the SP community deserve special attention, I have created a new BoM status called Member of the Week. (Click here for the FAQ entry.)

All Members of the Week will be listed in this thread, where you can discuss their contribution. (Unfortunately I cannot make everyone who did something to deserve this title in the past a MoTW now, so MoTW status will be awarded only for contributions to SP from today onward.)

Member of the Week #1 is Sorvo (16.6.-23.6.03).

Sorvo's generous donation will cover almost a full month of SP's server hosting bill. Thank you Sorvo!

Member of the Week #2 is Spellbound (19.7.-26.7.03).

Spellbound's generous donation will cover the full monthly SP hosting bill. Thank you Spellbound!

Member of the Week #3 is Seayer (1.8.-7.8.03).

Seayer's donation will cover another full monthly SP hosting bill. Seayer is a brand new member of the boards, though he has enjoyed what SP has to offer in terms of content for quite a while. Hopefully he'll stick around in our community as well!

DarkStrider's extremely generous donation will cover 5 weeks' worth of our server's hosting bills.

Member of the Week #35 is Beren (3.4.-10.4.06).

Considering Beren hasn't been put into the spotlight here before (despite more than earning the honour), this is a kind of life-time achievement award. Only he's not that old yet, so maybe a better term would be to-date achievement reward. Beren has been doing a great job on the moderating front here for years, as well as supplying SP with a steady stream of excellent exclusive game guides, which are among the most popular content on SP. Thank you Beren!

Member of the Week #36 is Sir Belisarius (29.4.-5.5.06).

Though Bel doesn't come around as much as he used to any more (and after nearly 6 years, that's hardly surprising), he's been a prominent SP figure pretty much from the start. Years back he's also taken upon himself the duty of SP's PayPal account manager and helping me out with various site-related financial transactions, earning my trust and utmost respect over the years. Though his contributions are usually going on behind the scenes (in addition to several donations over the years), they are extremely important for the smooth operation of SP. Thank you Sir Belisarius!

Member of the Week #56 is ConjurerDragon (23.02.-02.03.10).

ConjurerDragon's very generous donation will cover a full month of SP's hosting costs. Thank you ConjurerDragon!

Member of the Week #57 is Rotku (30.06.-06.07.10).

Rotku's generous donation will cover more than a half of SP's hosting costs for this month. Thank you Rotku!

Member of the Week #58 is olimikrig (28.04.-05.05.11).

olimikrig's generous donation will cover more than a half of SP's hosting costs for this month. Thank you olimikrig!

Member of the Week #59 is olimikrig (07.03.-14.03.12).

olimikrig's generous donation will cover more than a half of SP's hosting costs for this month. Thank you olimikrig!

Member of the Week #60 is olimikrig (25.05.-01.06.12).

Member of the Week #61 is Sir Belisarius (03.06.-10.06.12).

Bel has been taking care of a large part of SP's finances for probably more than a decade. Recently, he's had to step down from his position of Treasurer due to health concerns, but the years of support that he's given to the site and me personally are more than worthy of a permanent spotlight on his name. Thank you Sir Belisarius!

Member of the Week #62 is Montresor (10.06.-17.06.12).

Montresor has been diligently supplying Sorcerer's Place with his own in-depth online walkthroughs as well as tirelessly helping out with converting and/or editing a number of Beren's walkthroughs and other content for online viewing. Thank you Montresor!

Member of the Week #63 is Montresor (09.12.-16.12.12).

Montresor's generous contribution covers a tenth of the sum that we're aiming to raise for the new server, in addition to all the great work that he's doing for the site (see above). Thank you Montresor!

Member of the Week #64 is T2Bruno (30.12.-05.01.13).

T2Bruno's made a very generous donation last month that would have warranted the Member of the Week spotlight by itself, but has topped it with another generous donation in the latest fundraiser for the new server. Thank you T2!

Members of the Week #65 are Atmer, Old One, Blackthorne TA and Beren (19.01.-26.01.13).

Besides Montresor and T2 already mentioned above, several other members have made very generous contributions during our recent server fundraiser. Since they've all donated during the same event, I've decided to award them the Member of the Week title simultaneously. Thank you Atmer, Old One, Blackthorne TA and Beren!

Member of the Week #66 is olimikrig (12.02.-19.02.13).

olimikrig's generous donation will cover nearly a third of SP's hosting costs for this month. Thank you olimikrig!

Member of the Week #67 is Tarrasque (20.09.-27.09.13).

Tarrasque's generous donation will cover nearly a third of SP's hosting costs for this month. Thank you Tarrasque!

Member of the Week #68 is SilverNemesis (08.08.-15.08.14).

SilverNemesis' very generous donation will foot nearly the entire hosting bill for SP for this month. Thank you SilverNemesis! :thumb:

Thank you revmaf and Takara. I just felt sorry for Tal and since I can't help him with the work I thought a diet of beans and macaroni for a while wouldn't hurt me. :D

And I really like both beans and macaroni so it's no great sacrifice. Might get a wee bit boring but SP will keep me entertained.

dmc, the Canadian dolloar has been worth more than the US dollar for awhile now. To be honest, I'm not sure whether I paid in US or Canadian.

Anyway, I saw Tal's cry for help, and, well, I just can't resist a damsel in distress. Of course, if Tal's actually a guy, then I want my money back.

    :p

Had I any spare money, you'd have it. Unfortunately, I'm broker than a broke thing in a broke box which has been dropped and as a result is broken. Ya get me. What little dough I earn is whizzled up the wall, woo.

Way to go, son! And IMO that red dragon looks a bit more feminine than the green elf did. The green elf was just down-right scary!

Sorcerer's Place is an independent project run entirely by fans and for fans. Maintaining Sorcerer's Place and a stable environment for all our hosted sites requires a substantial amount of time and money on a regular basis, so please consider supporting us to keep the site up & running smoothly. Thank you!
