PDF creation help

    [​IMG] I've found several programs for creating .pdf files, and some for encrypting and decrypting them. However what I'm trying to find is a program that disables either text selection tool or copying to the clipboard when the .pdf is created. Any help anyone?

    You can give a try to the newest trial version, or visit some -other- forums for info about the full version. Anyway, I have Acrobat 5.01, and it has several security features -including the one you mentioned. With it, you can password lock document, disable copy/paste, disable print, set opening options, et cetra.

    As far as I know, there isn't any other program to do this, since PDF format is Adobe's inventions, no?

    Actually, there are several more, and some websites which allow you to make them online (for a fee). I can't remember a single one of them right now, however. But I read evaluations of a number of them in one of the PC Magazines about half a year ago.

    Oh, yeah; I tried those before I got Acrobat... The results they gave were most often less than satisfactory, so I cannot reallly recommend them.

    PDF format is patented by Adobe, so most of the sites or other programs out there that claim to be able to encode it don't do anywhere near as good a job as Acrobat would.

    Adobe's own site, in fact, allows you to create PDF documents online.

    Acrobat 6.0 Professional will do it. Earlier versions probably will as well, but I've only used 6.0.
