    Bah! I can understand if it was fake $20 bills because they actually exist and might fool someone. But a fake $1 million bill? The only crime committed here is a crime of stupidity. :rolleyes:

    It's no more stupid than the man in Germany who sued the government to provide him with porn and monthly brothel trips plus transportation, all to maintain his "physical health."

    Contrary to the apparantly popular world opinion, the USA doesn't hold the monopoly on stupid people doing stupid things. So saying "Only in the USA" is a little lame and unoriginal.

    Of course you call the cops. Do you think the woman was joking when she tooled up to the counter with $1600 worth of merchandise? First she tries to pay with gift cards (remaining value 2 dollars and change), then breaks out the bill.

    What should WalMart have done? Given her change?

    Yes, she is stupid. When she is sentenced, that will be taken into account. It is doubtful that she will do time.

    Yeah, stupid people are everywhere...

    Although in the US we would make change for a phoney 1,000,000 dollar bill with phoney 100,000 dollar bills!

    The largest bill currently in circulation is a $100...there hasn't been anything larger since 1969. Are we certain that this woman was an American, and not a tourist? ;)

    Actually, that's not a bad point. Maybe she was Canadian, and got confused about the currency - although the US/Cdn exchage rate has improved over the last while, $1,000,000 Cdn. is still roughly the price of a McHappy Meal. :xx:

    I'm not really offended by this. This is totally tame. She could have gone in there, chipping nuts and shooting at people. I'll take a fairly harmless $1mil bill over dead people, any day of the week.

    Just another nut chipper. We've got plenty of people chipping nuts. We are all stocked up on nut chippers. Sell yours somewhere else.

    On a related side note, the name "Covington" instills nothing but burning hatred in me, for reasons other than this article. God dam Covingtion. I am o-ffended that the word is even a part of the English language. I would have it burned and stricken from every known document, for all time. Forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We should have bombed Covington.
