  • Detail of my excellent Noctua NH-U12P CPU cooler that shows the very solid mounting - it is screwed against an x-shaped metal anchor plate on the back side of the MoBo.

    Prominent in this caption is the spring mounted fastening screw that holds the cooler against the anchor plate, and reduces vibration.
