Wow, that's absolutely brilliant, the left eye looks a little odd to me, but other than that it seems so flawless!

How long have you been drawing?
    • olimikrig
Yep the left eye (his right :p) looks very odd indeed. I remember that I tried fiddling with it but that it only made it worse so I gave up, hehe (that's the problem with graphite, you cannot just erase as you see fit like if you were drawing on a computer, so sometimes you have to settle with the end result being a little flawed. IMHO it ads to the charm though, but that's jsut me :)). Can't remember how long it took, a fair bet would be anything between 12 and 20 hours though. I did it in 2004 IIRC so can't remember the details too well I'm afraid.

Russell Crow has a lazy eye! :shake:

Seriously though, that's pretty awesome. :D

Just realised that you probably meant for how many years I've drawn and not how long this specific piece took. Well, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but not seriously untill around 2003 or so. That was the year when I began doing some self-studies into shading and portait making. By self-studies I mean that I began studying other peoples pieces, trying to figure out how they got the effects they had in their pieces, and then experimenting with various methods.

You are truly gifted: that is a fantastic drawing!
