[IMG] I know that mage's eventually can have their own stronghold, a planar sphere. (Mine is already in use) But I also heard people say that mages can have their own Mage-Tower. Does anyone know if this is true?

Only mages and sorcerors can get Planar Sphere. Your protagonist gets a different stronghold depending on his class.

In BG2 the planar sphere is the stronghold of Mage and Sorcerer protagonist.

In Thorne of Bhaal We all have the same stronghold (in hell?) regardless of the class We are, and it is not the plavar sphere wich is still in the Slum district and won't plane travel again...

    strongholds:

SoA--the planar sphere IS the mage's stronghold.. there is no 'Mage's tower' in either SoA or ToB. If you finish the planar sphere in SoA!! you get it for a stronghold IF you are a mage. this does NOT carry over to ToB

In ToB, you have a stronghold (every character class has the same one) called the Pocket plane that you travel to via a special ability. NOTE: this is NOT the planar sphere

    recap:

there is no mage's tower in either SoA or ToB

the planar sphere is a quest and a mage stronghold in SoA

the Planar Prison is a quest in SoA.

the pocket plane is THE ONLY stronghold in ToB
