Well, the only character I've ever gone solo with was a necromancer. That was quite a challange. Without illusion spells I had quite a time keeping my arse safe. I got very powerful around 15 though, when I could summon skeleton warriors. Very fun. If you have the exp cap removed, try a theif-mage, also fun.

    try an archer

  5. Ahh... Archer14, a good idea you have there, excepting the fact that I cant play an archer from BG, and I wish to play the saga all the way through
As for the other ideas, I thank you, also any one else that posts an idea I thank you too.

I think one of the nicest combos ever is Headbangers "all thief party" he is actually playing from BG-1 to BG-2 ToB. Unfortunately I never started such an approach since my halfling cavalier idea cancelled thisplans.

When changing this to "all rogue" party you could have a pure thief (IMO a halfling, with the option to make him assassin/ bounty hunter or swashbuckler in BG-2), a halfling ot elven mc fighter-thief, a gnomish cleric-thief and a gnomish illusionist-thief. You could add a bard for extra spells and lore too, though maybe your party is too large with 5 players.

Play a Ranger in BG, make him an Archer in BG2.. It still is a pity you cannot play an Archer-Mage, it would be a great multiclass for solo.

Thanks Headbanger. Thats what I meant. You couldn't figure that out on your own DeBhaal Stasion?

Could try the ultimate test, creating a copy of your self and trying that out. See if you are capable of being a god :0 .the only fear I have of doing this is that my strength would be 12 and I would have to be a fighter. You could try out being a true monk by using a warrior that uses no armor and no weapons, Maybe a mage the casts no offensive spells?
