    I saw this game that looks like a Warcraft/Starcraft adaptation of the Lord of the Ring books/movies. Is that an accurate description? Assuming it is, would you recommend this game to someone who enjoyed the Warcraft (and especially the Starcraft) games? Or is it much ado about nothing?

    No doubt that game looks good, but what about the current one? Are we talking starcraft/warcraft JRR Tolkein style?

    Aldeth, I've just been watching the screenshots, and what do you mean "it looks good"?
    It looks like the budget is barely enough to paint some Warhammer units and put them next to each other, horrible, just proves that EA does nothing more than ripping movies..
    Of course, that was long known, but just to illustrate the point :p

    I've only seen some screenshots. I like how the grass moves as your characters walk through, and the Balrog looked decent as well. I guess what you're saying is that I have already seen the very best parts, and that it's not worth my $40-$50 hmmm?

    My brother bought War of the Ring for $30. I haven't played it yet, but he has and he enjoyed it (then again, these kinds of games are new to us, being bored with lack of good titles elsewhere, we've recently taken strategy games, so in short we don't have much to compare it to.) It looks like it could justifibly be worth $30, but no more than that.

    its a rip off of warcraft 3, everything is the same just has lotr names. If your not burnt out on Warcraft 3 then you might enjoy it. I didnt because i play Warcraft so much that I can't stand a rip like this.
