Helped someone move Tuesday. Felt so sore that I didn't stay awake for the third period of the Hockey game and instead slept for a few hours...

Now I'm up and spamming my arse off...

I saw a dead man yesterday...he had apparently fallen off his bike (heart attack or something I presume) and was lying in the middle of the road as I passed by. He was completely grey-blue, he looked stiff and I looked into his eyes and they were broken, dead...he was really only a shell. After a while, the ambulance came. They tried to reanimate him for over 30 minutes, but he was gone. I have to say it was a bit disturbing...one second he's alive, the next he's gone..in broad daylight in the middle of a big city bustling with lively students.

    Poor his family.

    RIP mystery man.

I spent my dream trying to convince Adam Baldwin that he really is 6'4" while he was trying to convince me he really is 5'11". Hijinks ensue.

Just finished watching Ocean's 13, they should have stopped at 12 I think, hope they are truly done now!

2 inches fo snow here, yippee...not!

@ Uytuun, a dead body does tend to sober one up doesn't it?

I really should go to bed, I have to work tonight!

I don't exactly feel good now, I think I'm going to vomit... Maybe it's the 3/4 of an 12 inches pîzza I ate yesterday at my friend's LAN party. Oh wait maybe it's the  I drank or the :hippy: I smoked. Flix suffers

I'd guess it was the beer and pizza. I've never had the other cause me to get sick. Sometimes I miss smoking the :hippy: but it's better that I don't. My wife disapproves. It doesn't do much for my motivation either.

I've seen a disturbing looking dead body too. Some boy, not older than 10, fell into the railway track and was run over. I saw as the paramedics covered the poor child as fast as they could, since there was obviously nothing to do to save him, but there were still bloodstains everywhere for days. :(

Ulytuun, I'm sorry; the dead bodies I've seen in my life were all quite obviously deceased in just the way you describe: nothing in the eyes. Prayers for you and him and his loved ones.

And for all of us coughing and hacking our way through upper respiratory infections.

    Hey, Brallrock.

    Babble on, it's almost December.

I just love the people who order food for our office get togethers. They keep trying to push their agenda of yuppie healthy choices and no one goes for them.

Normally we see this in the form of the pizza lunch where invariably the few meat pizzas are devoured almost instant and only then do people contemplate holding their noses and eating some of the considerably larger stack of vegetarian pizzas that they insist on ordering. It does help guarantee prompt attendance at any Lunch and Learn meetings because we all know that if we are not there early then the meat pizzas will be gone.

Today though it was the Chief Auditor's birthday so they got two cakes - one chocolate fudge and one carrot. There was one lady cutting each cake and within 30 seconds the carrot cake cutter was calling out "Doesn't anyone want carrot?". Of course we don't want carrot when we can have chocolate fudge.

I actually have an excellent recipe for carrot cake! :yum: Of course it could hardly be called "health food". ;) Maybe I should translate it one day for the Cooking thread...
