Aldeth, the fantasy football we're running is the official premier league one. Overall I'm 41,638th out of 1,721,138. There's no way you could limit one footballer to one player.

The official premier league is great for two reasons. First it's very well run, it's completely automated and doesn't require any effort on your part (well, other than picking your team). A big plus for it though is that you can create mini leagues as a spin off as well as entering the main league. Lots of people would be in more than one league with the same team. For example, the guys I play football with on a Thursday night have a league set up too so I get to compete with them as well as the Sorcerer's lot whilst only having to manage one team.

On the subject of Man City they should never have let Vassel go, I rate him much better than Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Bellamy or Robinho. City need to get some more fowards in, they are still very light after his deptarture. Defensively they're sound like.

In other news my computer crashed and I had to format, that's why I haven't posted in a few days. But more importantly I lost my football manager save with Newcastle. Absolutely gutted.

Edit: If I can be bothered to start a new one any suggestions on which club? It has to be a premiership club, I've done the lower leagues to death and don't know that much about the european leagues. Not Fulham either, I've had a long game with them on this years FM.

Oh, I get it now. These mini-leagues that you are referring to is what I thought was being discussed all along. I had no idea that there was an overall league with a couple of million people in it. In the NFL fantasy sports, there are only these mini-leagues with generally 10 or 12 teams per league. You take turn picking players, and once you pick a player no one else can pick him among the other teams in your league. So, if I take Tom Brady (I hope he is a popular enough NFL player to be known in Europe), then the other 11 other guys in my league cannot also pick him. But there are hundreds of thousands of NFL leagues world-wide, and Tom Brady can be selected once in every single one of those leagues.

When Barmy said there were thousands and thousands of players, I thought he was referring to players on the field - not the fantasy players. I apologize for the confusion. Maybe it's better that I was busy with my son this past weekend and did not sign up for a team - I didn't even understand the rules!

It's still not too late if you're interested, you'll just start from zero points unlike the rest of us.

Nobody ever pays attention to the main league really. You don't have a hope of getting anywhere near the top unless you're continously pulling in massive scores and I think there's one single prize of a weekend to a match for the overall winner. It's the mini leagues that everybody is interested in, how you're doing compared to those they know.
