I'm at the beginning of Chapter 6 and when I arrive at the new screen, my character with low bluff starts the conversation. This then becomes a very tough battle as I'm running JUPP 1.0 arcane party (I didn't know about 2.0 when I started) and don't have time to spell buff. Is there any way I can change which one of my characters starts the conversation to open chapter 6? Like a mod or save game editor or some coding I can do?

Just switch the portraits, it switches the position in convos. Say if the character it lets speak is 3rd, switch the one you need to that position and it will work.

Really? Does that mean it puts someone completely at random? Because if it's always the same one, it should work.

yeah always my drow cleric. I ended up using the Dale Keeper 2 game editor to give that character a high enough bluff skill to pass the check and then changed it back afterwards

I don't recall running into that difficulty. I always save before going to a new map, and simply shuffling the portraits around tended to resolve this issue.
