Windows 10 - Black Screen Problem

    Not a lot to go on really, i'd be most interested to see what the system does when booted in safe mode, and try to exclude any 3rd party software from causing the problem.

    I wasn't even able to boot it into safe mode. I did some reading up on it and apparently it's a glitch with windows 10 in which the computer actually thinks it's running with another screen and so it won't display on your own screen. I ended up letting it go into sleep mode instead of shutting it down. In the middle of the night it updated and in the morning the problem was gone. The computer actually fixed itself.

    Well if you ever get the issue again, if it's a problem of thinking there's a second screen, press <Windows Logo Key> and <P> and select Screen Only(?) or something along those lines.

    I'm curious Wayward - The standard fix (which was referred to in the thread introduction) says to press Windows, P, down arrow, down arrow. Where did you get the pressing the ? at the end? I don't want to try it now because I don't want the problem to reappear.
