Since everyone and their grandmother is jumping on the bitcoin wagon I thought I'd check how popular this is around here as well. Do you have any money invested in bitcoins/cryptocurrencies?

Personally, I'm taking a pass until we see some actual regulation in place. Risky investments require constant monitoring and swift action if you want to remain on top and I just don't feel obsessed enough with bitcoins to want to turn them into that big a part of my life. But then again, you first need to have some to develop the gold fever, I suppose. :shake:

Nope. Currencies are only worth what people think they are worth; they have no intrinsic value. At least with a country you can look at their economy; I have no idea what drives a cryptocurrency's value and seems like it would be too easy to manipulate by people in the know.

Kinda late now that it's a fad. The best time to invest was the better part of a decade ago. You might as well be playing the lottery now.

If you wanna predict market trends, you're better off playing the stock market.

I was encouraged many years ago when they were around 250$ a pop to invest and I didn't, now I regret it.

I was watching the original release back in 2009/10 unfold and I thought it was the stupidest thing ever.

I keep forgetting that stupid things have a habit of going obnoxiously viral and making millions.

Governments and banks have noticed the currency. Governments want tax money. Banks are missing interest and commissions.

    The end is nigh.

Woke a lot of people up. In a nice way. Blockchain will eventually replace banks.
