See my mod info thread for general info, and this thread over at the Beamdog forums for a complete list of mods that are known to work.

Mods which I can especially recommend:

    • Awesome Soundsets -- Recommended for those who are tired of the built-in player soundsets and want more to choose from.
    • BG2 Tweaks -- Despite the name, it works for all the EE games. It's "Convenience Tweaks" components are recommended for players who find the inventory management aspect of the game annoying/repetitive. Some of the other components are nice too, but read each one's description before choosing which to install.

Veteran players should also have a look at the following two mods, which can be used to mix things up a little and increase replayability. However, be warned that they contain some rather controversial/radical/opinionated changes, so be sure to read each component's description carefully and only install the components you're sure you want. Newbies should probably stay away from them.

    • House Rules -- Bonus merchants, extra items, HLAs, and a way to add kits to multi-class characters without ShadowKeeper.
    • Scales of Balance -- various changes to class abilities and combat mechanics (warning: some quite radical), and extra kits. I myself like the "Enchantment Standardization", "Druid Class Tweaks" and "Wizard Class Changes" components but remain skeptical of the rest.

Kits simply don't work that way within the engine, so no. At best, you can apply a single kit with EE Keeper, but even that's probably limited in some way.

Humans can still dual-class if they start out with a kit though.

Yes, in fact I've already mentioned it in my above comment... :)

The game engine doesn't have any problem with kitting a multi-classed character; the only thing it doesn't support is having more than one kit on the same character.

Adding a kit using EE Keeper to a previously unkitted character (such as a multi-class character), partially works. It will apply most kit properties, but will fail to apply kit properties which are implemented as "affects" that are added procedurally during chargen, such as bonus spells per day. If you know what you're doing you can then add those affects by hand in EE Keeper, but it's a messy process.

I'd recommend using the aforementioned mod instead, as it takes care of everything via kit tomes that you can purchase (or create using the cheat console) in-game.

That's what I said, just not in so many words. I'm guessing the mod uses AddKit/AddSuperKit and manually applies the missing permanent effects, but it's still a dirty solution.

It is somewhat possible to also multiclass multiple kits, but there's no easy solution for that and each combo requires a completely new multiclass entry and a lot of fiddling. Even then it's not perfect.
