I haven't played BG in quite awhile and I'm feeling a bit nostalgic so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm using windows 7 and before I get to the end of BG1 I'd like to know how to import my character into BG2? Thanks!

If you go to your character stat screen (default press R), there's a button that says EXPORT. Give a filename (I usually use charname, though the filename can only be 8 characters. This saves the character data to the \Baldur's Gate\Characters\ map as a .CHR file and your character's bio in a .BIO file. Copy these files to the same characters map in the BG2 installation map, and you'll then be able to select it when choosing Import Character at a new game.
