    So.

I've owned Icewind Dale for years now, and there has been one issue that has driven me up the wall. I own nearly every Infinity Engine game, but Icewind Dale I has a serious problem for me, and I'd love to have some help fixing it! I can't find a solution anywhere, neither does anyone else seem to notice this.

In every Infnity Engine game, when your characters start fighting, they take on a 'battle stance' of sorts. So, when your characters detect enemies, they all sort of 'crouch' and get ready to fight. This animation is present in BG, BGII, Icewind Dale II, but it is missing in Icewind Dale I (except for NPCs in IWD I - they take on a battle stance when fighting, but your player characters do not!).

This drives me insane. For instance - my paladin takes a swing with her sword, and between swings, she stands straight, looks around, then swings again! Then, in between the next swings, she may even take a nice stretch!

What's up with that? Am I the only one who's noticed this? I'm not much of a modder, but if there was a fix for this, that would be great! Has anyone else been similarily annoyed?

yeah that's funny, the goblins also tend to stretch during a fight

I never noticed that. I think that's a bug. What happens when you increase the number of attacks per round?

It didn't do anything. Are you talking about the framerate AI updates per second?

[IMG] I've seen it often enough. Never really thought of it as a bug. Only happens when the characters have one or two attacks a round - something that is generally only for low level characters so it just gets forgotten.

Could be the BAMs are still in the wrong naming convention, but it's not something that lasts long and doesn't cause any problems.
