BG:EE bug. iPad only?

    I'm playing this game on the iPad. I haven't gotten far at all into the game yet, but I have noticed a minor bug during the introductory stage.

    Firebeard Elvenhair asks me to get him a scroll of Identify from Tethoril. But when I talk to the man in red, he keeps telling me to see Gorion. After three taps, Tethoril "has nothing to say to me" and I can not complete this mini-mission.

    Anybody else experiencing this issue?

    It's the same on the PC version. I had to CLUA a scroll of identify in, in order to complete the quest. Dunno if you can use cheats on the ipad version (though I doubt it), so you might have to just ignore that quest.

    2 updates ago that bug enterd the game. It wasn't there at release. The last update patch I believe was for other languages only and did not fix that bug. My last run through was from that patch. They fixed A TON of stuff in that patch, but somehow they missed something as simple as the 1st quest bug being intro'd. Or they didn't create the fix as of yet for whatever reason and didn't want to hold up release of the update as it was a vast improvement to the game itself. Ignore the quest, it doesn't give much reward anyway.

    Yep. I got my version for the Mac at the time of the Mac release, and I couldn't get the Identify Scroll. So, it doesn't work on Mac, either. Seeing the subject of your post made me wonder, and now I guess I know that it still hasn't been fixed. Bummer.

    Last night I started a new game to amke sure the of the current status as I have the latest patch uploaded. The identify scroll bug is still there.
