Searched the forums but couldn't find anything on the possibility of breaking combat in TEE with the Circle of 8 Modpack.

Is it possible? Just bought this game and installed the pack and am running into playability issues: 1) can't run away when outmatched; 2) when a cleric turns undead, having to seek out and find every skeleton that has fled into some hidden place.

    Thanks for any help!

    1) Often opponents are faster than you. Save often and use Powerword: Reload.

    2) Don't use turn undead unless you need to. It gets annoying.

TEE uses many of the older D&D philosophies -- enemies believe the only good hero is a dead hero. The main idea is to stay away from high level monsters until you can actually take them on. How do you know if you're running into a bad ass? You don't ... save often.

In some instances you can flee combat via the radial menu (Movement | Flee Combat). It's not always available, but when it works it will put you on the previous map you were on.

You might like the sun domain's Greater Turning ability if you don't want to chase undead. And if you use TU in smaller rooms / dungeons, they just cower and don't flee. Remember they always run away from you, not towards you to flee in a different direction if they become trapped in a corner or dead end. (oh... funny... Undeads trapped in a dead end) So don't use TU in the open or very large/broad halls etc.
