    Hi All,

I am going to start my NWN adventure again. I have just update NWN to 1.69 last night.

I have never download the CEP before for NWN but I am interested as there seems to be races and possibiliy new prestige classes.

When I replay the OC and modules will I notice anything different or new to the game? Do most of the user made modules require CEP?

I looked around the internet and there doesn't seem to be a a place that list what is exactly in the CEP.

    All help is appreciated. Thanks.

The CEP is not a module or directly playable... anything. It adds textures, monsters, placeables, armor parts, in short, tools with which mod makers can create more diverse modules. You can read more about it here. Over at the NWN Vault, modules that use the CEP will have it listed in its requirements.

If you're looking for new classes and races and such, you're likely looking for the PrC. You can install this on your current NWN install, and it will ask you which modules you'd like to update. Any module you update, will then be playable with the new classes and races added by the PrC. Note that for character creation, you'll need to circumvent the class creation inside the game, which is hardwired to only the stock races. It's all explained quite clearly in the manual on their website.

Be aware, though, that installing the PrC on my PC caused significantly increased load times, and that the possibilities to create new class/race combinations can be rather overwhelming (not that I'd have it any other way).

Patch 1.69, CEP 2.1, and the PrC combined make for quite a game. The problem is, especially with 1.69 being brand-new, is there really aren't any new modules (yet) that make full use of them. With NWN being 6 years old, one can only hope someone talented will put together a really good new module that uses all this stuff to the fullest. That would be one awesome adventure, but it seems many builders have moved on to NWN2. Still, I keep my eye on nwvault.com.

Is there any modules you recommed for higher level characters?
