I am having a devil of a time running this game. I have another thread with a question on the Moebius patch. For the CO8 mod.

I did a fresh install of the game (removing from the control panel and deleting everything in Windows Explorer).

    I installed the game.
    I installed Patch 1 and Patch 2.
    I installed the CO8 mod.

    Still couldn't loot.

    Installed a NO CD crack
    Still couldn't loot.

Tried a fresh install of just the game, three patches, and No CD crack, still no luck.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

[IMG] Well No CD cracks usually undo some of the patching things depending on which version they were made for.

Have yo unot tried installing all three patches and then Co8 mod?

It's patch 3 that deals with the looting bug anyway.

CO8 mod instructions specifically say not to install patch 3, as it is incompatible with the mod and the mod fixes the loot bug.

[IMG] Really? Might be in the newer versions. I know on my install I installed all three then Co8 and have had no problems since. Including being able to loot just fine.

Yeah, Atari patch 3 is definitely a no-no.

Which OS are you using? And which no-cd did you try (what patch was it for and what size was it)?

Just FYI for posterity, this issue was resolved at Co8, wherein it was determined that Sparky was suffering from the looting bug because he had not activated the Co8 module and was playing vanilla ToEE. :)
