    He everyone,

I know this is going to be difficult, since most of you guys are from all over the world.

    ...

Uh that was a stupid sentence.

Anyway, i think that the babbling you hear in taverns as background sound is german.
Naturally, I'm talking about an "original" english install, not that i think that the sound would change with the game texts if you do a different language install.
To me, it sounds like some guys from eastern germany talk.
And here comes the flaw of this post: I don't understand much...

You might say: "It's natural, you're german, you hear german out of random noise!".

Better to find some other gamers that understand german and make them go to the friendly arm, or to the Jovial Juggler...

Or do the frenchies out there think that's french what they are talking???

Start running to the pubs and post now!

Haven't paid attention, but will next time.

However, it'd be kinda stupid if it actually was german when using the standard english installation. Or does Forgotten Realms include european countries?

Another such example would be the Wandering Village in Icewind Dale 2. The names there are definitely of Finnish origin. Being Finnish myself, I thought that it was not only odd but most definitely breaking the suspension of disbelief.

I find the background sound cool by the way, especially the music, because it's NOT perfect. It really sounds like a bunch of lev1 bards trying to earn their drinks ;-)

The last chord to finish the song off is hilarious.

Also, maybe i should PLAY more and stop standing around in the pub...

Actually, IIRC I thought it was German too back when I played it first a decade ago... I thought it was odd/funny at the time.
