    Greeting, friends.

I wanted to ask for your opinion on something:
few years ago I completed IWD 2 on normal difficulty and saved the characters. lately i decided to start the game again, this time in HoF mode, using the imported characters, as the game/developers suggest. All my characters are around level 15.

However, I noticed that they are ridiculously powerful, at least for the first part of the game (it got so boring I didn't continue). not only that, but they arrive with some very powerful weapons (+4 to +6, for some of them). even the normal mode is more difficult. at least there your characters have one-digit HP and can be easily killed.

Now, either I was pretty good in my first run, or I'm doing something wrong.

    What do you think?

    Thanks!

I would give it a try if you say that after the docks things getting tougher. But there's still the feeling of pointlessness because of no progression. I mean, your characters already have access to high level spells and carry +6 weapons - did you get a rewarding feeling after beating the bosses, for example?

I don't recall getting a lot of +5 or +6 weapons in normal mode, but it has been a few years since I played all the way to the end. I thought even the best stuff generally only went to +4 in normal mode.
HoF mode is more to give your high-level characters a challenge than anything, but the items are almost all boosted in stats if they are not already +5 or +6.
