How to fix Corrupt save file? (Spoiler)

    I saved just before the Balor fight at the Fire Node. Now when I try to reload it, I get the corrupt save file message.
    I do not have any other save files. Any way to fix this?

    I am using CO8 patch 5.01. Previous saves are all okay except for this fire node balor fight. I have tried reinstalling 5.00, try again and failed, install 5.01, try and failed, install 5.05, still fail to load the save game. I have deleted the cache and .pyc files but still can't get the save file to work.

    I don't think there's any way to fix corrupt ToEE saves unfortunately.

    Does anybody has a saved game file just before destroying the orb of death? It's the next best thing as I don't want to replay the whole thing again.
