Just use normal (non-magical) weapons on it.

I think it's one of funnier parts of the game when the magic golem suddenly realizes that it's been hit with a non-magic weapon. Every time they turned tail and ran as best they could till they got stuck in a corner cowering while I hacked them to bits. Magic Golems: a challenge, indeed. Heh :D

My little ole Imoen was beating the Magic Golem in marchin' mts. up with her arrows. Now that i find funny.

It is also in 'Elminster's Appendix' or something like that. Funny cuz I needed to pick up what the fire giants dropped cuz I'm not fond of normal weapons. In other words, I'm a cheater.

Why do you think that fire giant out side of his temple dropped all of those normal weapons?

I thought that that was a dead give away that you would need them later.

Oh well, i pick up on that kinda stuff.

Do the Magic Golems have any kind of attack at all? Whenever I ran across one it just seemed to stand there and take a beating.

No, they don't cast spells. They are just like normal golems except they are imune to magic weapons except normal weapons just like clay golems are imune to everything except blunt weapons.

they have some sort of a ranged attack that causes magic damage. Anyways they're pice'o cake if you have normal weapons with you.

Yes, if... What do you mean it was obvious that one giant had a heap of weapons? I thought he was a giant weapon smith... Good thing everyone had their fists...

I think that they should have uped the deadlyness factor of those things. My mage was kicking its ass up and down the temple.

I use the same tactic as volar, i just whack them with fists until they are unconscious and let sarevok hit em til he does deathbringer assault, that attack rocks, even if your using your fists it still kills em.
