Okay frustrated and nasty kasio has moved ('cause if he hadn't he'd be (and was) forced to :p) to "Whatnots" with all his philosophic BG2world-sucks-and-must-be-changed-this-way stuff. I ll be perfect non-objectioning forumer from now and for ever. (Or i ll be moderated :p)

Now what about this quest. I gave children ale and swords, and now i guess i must find them and bring home, right? If yes - where are those little bastards. If no - what should i do?

There's a cave just a little off from the center of the map. I believe you'll have a different result, depending on what you buy for them. If they aren't there, chip away at the local quests until there's a change of scene.

I'm being vague for humor's sake.

Man, are their parents gonna be pissed!

You mean cave where chest-shaped minic was found, killed for his blood to take it to the Cowled Wizard living in the Imnesvale?

    I looked there. Nobody.

I forgot to give the ale...OOPS!
I looked everywhere for 3 bastardswords and when I found them, I already forgot that I had to buy Ale for them.
I had to give them their money back and, man, where they pissed.

Yes, the cave with the Mimic in it is where the boys should show up eventually.

For me, I gave them just the swords and they were battling a Shadow in the cave when I found them.

My understanding is if you gave them both the swords and the ale, they are in there battling a Gibberling, but they are so drunk they think it's a Dragon.

[IMG] I had heard something about giving the kids ale and swords resulted in trouble with the city and possible dismissal as Ranger. I guess I was wrong? I told them no anyway.

I have heard that giving both ale and swords to the boys as a Ranger, you get dismissed. I gave them just swords, and the family members (including the mayor or whatever) were pissed until I found them. Once I found them everyone was happy again...
