I just heard about IWD2 and I was wondering if it was going to be like the first one which i really didn't like....it felt like it was totally hack and slash and not that great of a story line.I loved the BG series and I'm curious to know if its going to be like it,where the characters have their own stories and have dialoge.Well thats just what i was wondering if someone can answear.....

It'll be a linear dungeon crawl like the first one.

I've heard that it will be dungeon crawling in the first part, the second part will be more puzzle oriented while the third part will be a mix between the two (soumds good to me).

[IMG] I just want things that bleed...So I can kill them!

Actually, the dungeon crawl is a refreshing thought after the treasure hunt of BG2. I think that's why I like IWD so much.

Actually i do agree that Icewind Dale is a bit Hack 'n' slash. but this is actually brilliant cos i am totally addicted to both Baldur's Gate and Diablo...I find Icewind dale mixes the ferocious action of Diablo and the Treasure hunt and cleverness of BG. It is the perfect package and this is why it is my fav game of all time......bar Ceaser III

Good summary of BG2! A treasure hunt is exactly what it is. Sure I love BG2 and it has given me value for my money like no other game, but all the items make it a... Treasure Hunt. :)

[IMG] I just read that in Heaft of Fury mode you can reach up to level 30! sounds sweet. And also, some items in the regualr mode will be stronger in HoF mode. cant wait....
