Magic Defensive Adjustment for High Wisdom

    How important is this in the game? I know probably not too much for BG but if you're gonna do the whole thing.

    As far as i know, Wisdom doesn't give you a magic defence adjustment, since it was never implemented in the game - though the original game manual did mention it.
    I'm unsure if the enhanced edition fixed this oversight, but a quick google search comes up with nothing, so i'm going to assume that is not the case.

    Even if it was implemented the sheer number of anti-enchantment options the game offers you kind of lessens the appeal. For non-clerics, wisdom is useful for the Wish spell and a few specific dialogue options.

    I still don't think it's worth using wisdom as a dump stat in the BG games since getting 100+ rolls on many classes is easy. On something like a plain fighter though, I might make an exception.

    As xosmi says, I don't think there's bonuses to saves for wis in the BG series. So wisdom is useful for clerics and druids (bonus spells), and mages and sorcerers ((limited) wish options). Rangers and palladins have minimum requirements for wis, but higher than minimum doesn't seem to give any benefit to these classes (no bonus spells).

    But Paracelsi is right, there's little point in making wis a dump stat with the way the rolling for stats works in BG. Especially in the EEs, where the rolling results are skewed even higher.
