    hello there,

I didn't find any satisfying answers in walkthroughs as to whether it's alright to get Alatos (the guild master) pissed off and having to kill the entire guild, does it screw up the main quest or is it alright ?

Do you mean killing Resar or killing all the thieves right from the start and thus skipping their quests?

There is no problem with killing Resar and completing the game.

Alatos says something to the party when you take the secret passage to the Undercity. Still, it's been a while since I played that part and I love the guild's questline too much to skip it.

    thanks a lot, Caradhras ;)

I just have one more question: it's been a long time since I played and I don't remember if the potion of frost giant strenght (str= 21) is enough to open the coffins under candlekeep ?

Did anyone ever get the thieves to show up at the coronation? I never did, even though they will promise it when I help them.

It seems you failed a bluff check. They are THIEVES after all. Lying is one of their skills.

It seems you're mixing up AD&D with 3rd edition :p

They never show up. Don't know if it's a bug or design flaw. This has been mentioned in several walkthroughs, most notably GameBanshee IIRC.

Thanks, in that case the entire guild could be massacred without it having effect on the story line :)

    Don't you have a thief?

nope I'm soloing the saga (for the 3rd time actually) and I just beat the game in 2 days

and as for the potion: frost giant won't do, storm giant instead turned out to work just fine

boy, sarevok was a tough battle, I'm relieved it's done

At least one of the chests under Candlekeep requires more than 75 in Lockpicking, thus Frost Giant Strength won't do to open it. Storm Giant should at least be close.
