Does NI work properly with PS:T?
I want to edit my character, but my alterations don't show up in the edited savegame.
I happen to know from perusing a walkthrough, that Nameless One gets a great bonus from being level 12 mage when meeting Ravel. So I've been stuck with the problem of raising my XP from 380,000 to 750,000:(. The amount of times I've battled and reset the Rubikon maze is too often to remember, but it bores easily:o. I'm still just at 420,000. My perfectionist streak prevents me from progressing past Ravel without being level 12, so I need to cheat up my XP. I thought I did it in NI, but my XP value in the loaded game remains unchanged.

The only editor of any sort that I've used with PST is Near Infinity, and it's always worked flawlessly (including changing XP values for TNO). Do you have any mods installed that could be creating problems? Did you make sure and save your changes after editing the save file? Finally, if you're using Vista, I think the OS locks changes to Program Files so you may not be able to edit the save games unless you allow changes, or go into administrator mode, or something similar.

[IMG] I have plenty mods installed, but I can't imagine how they'd conflict with the functioning of NI.
I edited the lines 'Kill XP (Chapter)' and 'Kill XP (Game)' both to about 749.000. Both figures had the same value to start with, so the code doesn't distunguish chapters, I guess. But the XP value doesn't change in my info screen when I started PS:T, and loaded my savegame. But I haven't yet tried to gain XP; maybe it will adjust if I do that... I'll check... Nope, didn't work either:(.

I don't have NI right now to check, but I don't remember there being two values called 'Kill XP (Chapter)' and 'Kill XP (Game)', just the one variable for how much XP a character currently has (I wish I could remember exactly what it was called and where it was in the editor). Are you sure you're editing the right thing?

Have you tried any of the editors available on SP? I thought TormentHack worked, but can't remember.

They all work, at least to a point. TormentHack definitely works, I've used it myself, though only for item manipulation.
