Need help remembering

    Hmm I can not remember the name of a certain book I read in school. It was about someone who could go through different dimensions like 1d,2d,3d,4,5,etc but twisting and turning their body. Help would be appreciated greatly. Otherwise this is going to drive me nuts not being able to remember.

    It talk about the first dimension being a dot and the second being a line. As the person was twisting and turning they could see into multiple dimensions. On top of that the book felt like it was a little on the joke side.

    The dot and line thing make me think of Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott, but I don't remember getting past spheres in that book (i.e. 3d). I also don't remember any twisting or turning of bodies to get there.

    There's a sequel to it called Flatterland by Ian Stewart, but I haven't read it. Maybe he goes further?
