New to 2nd edition rules - tips and tricks

    I decided to start Heart of winter first, since I did like begining of OC and I'm more powerful so...
    I picked Half-elf Skald, Elf Sorceress, Gnome Cleric-Thief, Human Fighter, Half-elf Cleric-Ranger and Human Avenger.

    Any useful guides, which spells are most useful, I plan to use Sklad and Cleric-Ranger as secondary melee, which one will be best next to fighter, which gear is the best (my sklad has proficency in bastard sword and longsword, fighter in two-handed sword, cleric-ranger in morning stars, mace and warhammers I think, besides two-weapon fighting...), what else should I know.... I know how thac0 is calculated, does dex has any influence in armor class, could I have fighter-bard as dualclass?
