    I stepped outside at 4am.

    The silence is profound when most of the city is asleep.

    There was a bedroom light on in one of the neighbouring houses. They have a baby who's stomach doesn't care what time it is. The temperature was lukewarm and there was no wind. My eyes were drawn to an overgrown icicle hanging off a high rooftop. Street lamps bordering the nearby field made the ice glimmer.

    The moon stole everything. Two days away from showing its entire self. No wonder centuries of people have been entranced by its power.

    ^ This is why night people have that weird glint in their eye. It's a different world out there in the night, one that most sleeping people miss unless they catch a little glimpse like you. :)

    Yeah, I roll in the night a lot. In the real dead of night, it's a different world. Those who are awake are half a step closer to insanity. :whoa:

    I can remember driving in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night... pitch black outside the cone of the headlights... deer suddenly up ahead... they trot away as I slow down in front of them.

    For some reason my hair and nails grows really long at such nights. That's what I think, at least. Because I wake up with a shredded shirt on my back, blood on my chin and wool in my mouth. (No, this is not MUG-related)
