[IMG] You mean a critter, or a real monster ?

As most hated critter, the award definetly goes to the Kobold Commando : those morons kan slay your mages before you even notice them.

The most hated monster, hmm, that's a more difficult one... I'd say the Skeleton Warrior. With there immense low THACO, superb AC, and high Magic Resistance... ARGH! Thank God there are only 2 of them in BG. Have you ever tried to tackle those 3 in DT at the same time ?? It's sheer impossible to keep all your chars alive...

those are pretty tough, they can land some damaging blows, but take em on one @ a time.

Black Talon Elites pissed me off numerous times, especially if you come acros 5 or 6 @ a time, those frost arrows can take out a character pretty quick. i lost Kivan twice to those bastards.

The skeleton warriors really pissed me off and I didn't like Ghasts either since there wasn't any cure disease spells in BG. There are actually more than just two skeleton warriors in the game. There are about 5 more in one of the ruined temples in the Undercity.

For a critter I'd say definetly a Kobold Commando. Because their fire arrows cause good damage, and they come in groups of 3-8.

For a real monster, probably a Demon Knight or perhaps a Battle Horror or maybe even a Greater Doppleganger. A Demon Knight because its immune to fire, very high HP, and it does around 20 damage a hit. A Battle Horror because there is always two of them at once, and because they are high AC and have high resistances and cause around 15-20 damage a hit. Greater Dopplegangers because they're always in numbers from 2-10 and have magic, they cause arond 15-20 damage a hit, high AC and very high speed.

in my belief the sirine is the worst enemy simply because by the time i reached them my character was 6th lv. and they would dire charm me and i would single handedly take out my whole party, well her and"The Master Huntsman, Kivan."i died several several times befor i decided to leav and come back when all members where equal...But other Than that, Kobold commando's are a hate, well they are in my category.

I hate Kobold Commandos most! I just can´t stand to be killed by such losers just because they us fire arrows. What i hate most about them is that they don´t give you good XP for hard fights.

I don't like Icarus (in Ulcaster) and I REALLY don't like those invisible warrior things that make mechanical sounds.

I agree with fat egg. Also those bloody flaming fists. "I serve the flaming fist!" That really gets on my nerves. They're pansies though.

    [IMG] There are categories:

numerous enemies: Black Talon Elite and Cobold Commandos with their massive archer fire can cripple your whole party quickly

rarer enemies: Greater Dopplegangers in Durlags tower are a real pain in the ass.
Sirines are tough, just like ogre magi and the skeleton warriors. The demon knight was a wimp once I attacked him in melee.

The flaming Fist is weak. I can drop several dozen of those packs that just pop up anywhere.

I hate Black Talon Elite the most. I ran into a group of 20 or more. Insane! After about 10 tries i finally killed all of them without losing anyone.

Those stupid gibberlings, why I oughta...oh, wait sorry. Honestly, though, what pops up in my mind were those stupid greater ghouls. They put a whipping on me. The greater dopplegangers were also tough. Battle horrors and ogremages always suck, especially that one by the firewine ruins.

    Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!

Let me cast my vote for the D*MN Kolbold Commandos too. I'm playing through for the first time and last night I got to the maze in the basement of that halfling village (east of Ulcaster) and those Kolbold Commands keep respawning around every corner and they won't stop coming! I've got Imoen up front to check for traps so my party doesn't get killed by lighting bolts, fireballs, etc. and she's getting smacked by these infernal things. Add to that, NPCs keep wondering down the wrong hallway because of faulty AI, and it's only 35XP per kill and I'm getting pissed! I'm never gonna get my Fighter to lvl 6 so I can start dual-classing him while I'm stuck down there!
    *rant over*

    thanks, I feel better now...

[IMG] I think wolfweres where the worst. It's near impossible to get through the damn ship without a wand of monster summoning. And those stupid respawning black talons and kobolds...AAAAARGH! Everyone with bows' suck. They just keep firing at one characther. And all enemies that paralyze you...you can't do anything but sit and WAIT and WAIT untill it wears off.

    It has to be either:

Ogre beserkers: Those gimps pack one mean swipe with their swords

Greater doppleganger with hast cast: Now those guys are lethal...especially to mages and weaker characters...

[IMG] If we're talking about heroes definetly Tazok. That guy is such a pain in the ass!! Critters I would have to go with kobold commandos, I mean they just keep coming. Regular monsters though I have to say Battle horrors. (My magic guys use fire.)
