    Hello,

I'm currently playing Torment for the first time, and I've run into a problem in the Curst Admin building. After defeating Trias (Vhailor killed him), the portal appears, but nothing happens when my party walks into it. Instead, they just end up standing in front of it. This has never happened before. Is this a sort of glitch?

I'm running on Windows XP, and have applied Platter's patch.

Any help would be much appreciated; I'm really looking forward to finishing this game.

Which version of the game are you using, 2-CD or 4-CD? And have you applied the official patch? Do you have any mods other than Platter's installed? I've played the game twice to completion on XP and never had this problem. Are you using SP2 or SP3? Did you try running the game in compatibility mode?

It turns out that deleting the override folder and reinstalling the game did the job, so I'm guessing I had somehow messed up while applying the patch. Thanks for the tip about compatibility mode, that solved a problem for a different program.

The 'complete' ending was depressing, but very fitting and beautiful. I'm glad to have played this game.

The "good" ending is better than the other two, but yeah it's not particularly good. Then again anything else would have been very jarring considering the unrelentingly depressing mood and themes in the game, especially towards the end.

Glad you solved the problem and enjoyed the game :)
