Thanks lol I still have lots of ToB to enjoy i think.

Speak of timestop, I hate stuns! I was steamrolling an early tob dungeon and neglected to save about 15 minutes work when an enemy mage single handedly game-overed me with a lucky stun that took 4 of my party out of the fight.

One thing I regret about not bringing a cleric anywhere, it's the lack of chaotic commands. But I'm counting on Hairy countering my vulnerablilty to stun before it really stops me.

Would enhanced bard song be a decent choice for HD's first hla?

The song or UAI is generally a solid first choice.

That is when you use a contingency set to do a dispel magic upon being made "helpless". Alternately, although this is often less useful in ToB due to so many spellcasters having scripted true sight, you can have it set to make you [improved] invisible upon being made helpless and wait out the duration. This in theory preserves your long-term buffs if it is only a few rounds.

Still, a cleric casting remove paralysis is better. A cleric with a contingency to use that is even better still.

Always use a contingency for protection. Practice safe hex.
