Shouldn't the silver sword have a different sound?

    I just realized something.
The silver sword says it is a vorpal blade. Shouldn't it be making a snicker-snack sound instead of the standard clang sound?
Also shouldn't the description mention that on hit, jabberwockies need to save vs death or die like oger mages do with the slayer arrow in BG1?

It doesn't just behead jabberwockies though, it can behead almost everything. Vorpal blades have much improved since those olden times.

One of the issues with the newer model of these vorpal blades is that they took away the 'snicker-snack' sound because some focus group said it was too distracting and fell into fits of giggles every time they swung it

Half-True. Vorpal blades will behead on a percentage chance (25% for the silver sword, 10% for Axe of the Unyielding) for normal hits or would otherwise do normal damage.
A jabberwocky must save every time at a penalty.

I said nothing in my post that contradicts that statement in any way...

The thing that's not so great about the silver sword, aside from it only being +3, is mostly that the 25% vorpal hit still allows the target to make a save at -2. The axe of unyielding and the ravager +6 have only a 10% vorpal hit, but no save, which seems to have better results on average by the end of SoA.

A special sound effect would be pretty neat, though. Not that I'd hear it much, because most of the time I have the game audio turned way down, but it'd be neat.

Weapon sound effects seem like a fun idea until you realize you're gonna have to listen to them hundreds of times. :shake:

Now I want to mod the silver sword to make a snicker-snack, though I don't have a good sound file to do it.

Do weapons actually have a sound effect in BG?

Just make a sound file. It should be your voice saying "Snicker-Snack"!
