Slaan will not leave party??? Help appreciated

    i have nwn 2 all 3 expansions. updated to 1.23 says it is final update and updater says no more to update so

    ive completed the quest with slaan did not kill any lizards. i can not get him to leave the party,i also cant trigger a conversation with him it wont give me the option right clicking.

    also tried a few console commands and cant get him to leave thru the party tool

    any ideas? because now i cant add the mage to my party and he is taking up a player slot, if there isnt any i think ill just uninstall and forget about this game lol... i just dont see wasting my time in a game that might eventually bug me again 100 hours down the road

    help anyone ? :)

    A quick Google search pulled up this thread. Looks like you can use the console to remove Slaan.

    i also cant install the 1.04 patch it says it cant find version 1.0 i have 1.23 installed? im confused lol

    Before you can enter the command that I linked, you have to enable Debug Mode in NWN2.

    To do this in the game (make a save game first, just to be safe):
    1) Make sure Slaan is selected by right clicking his icon
    2) Hit the ` key, which will open a translucent console
    3) Type 'DebugMode 1' (case sensitive) - now debug mode is enabled
    4) Enter the command I linked last night (which I haven't tested personally, by the way)
    5) At this point, if the command worked as expected, Slaan should be removed from your party
    6) type 'DebugMode 0' - now debug mode is disabled
    7) Hit the ` key again to close the console
    8) Resume gaming

    I stand corrected. Based on a little more reading, the command I linked will spawn a "dungeon master" into the game, not remove a party member. Apparently you will have to interact with the dungeon master and ask him (or her, not sure which it will be) to remove the offending party member.

    The basic order of events should still be the same, except that you will need to interact with the dungeon master. I have never done this, so I can't provide guidance on how that will work out. Hopefully it's all fairly self explanatory. Good luck!

    Did I mention... save your game beforehand?? :)

    these all basically didnt solve my problem...going back hrs of gameplay for a crazy bug in a 10 yr old game is meh... no one ever have this problem?
